Pre-Exposure HIV Prophylaxis (PrEP) Workshop on Tuesday, 25 June 2024
On Tuesday, 25 June 2024, AMS-PHPT Research Collaboration hosted the "Pre-Exposure HIV Prophylaxis (PrEP) Workshop" at The Empress Premier Hotel in Chiang Mai.
This event brought together 40 participants, including representatives from government agencies, stakeholders, NGOs, the Community Advisory Board (CAB), and our research team. The workshop focused on discussing the current state of PrEP in Chiang Mai and factors influencing HIV testing and PrEP demand and provision.
A key highlight was the presentation of the SimpPrEP study, titled "A randomized controlled trial to evaluate the efficacy, acceptability, and safety of event-driven pre-exposure prophylaxis for HIV using TAF/FTC in men who have sex with men in Thailand and France."
