On 27 March 2026, the AMS‑PHPT Research Collaboration visited the Thai Red Cross AIDS Research Centre to exchange experiences and discuss approaches in clinical research operations. The delegation was welcomed by Assoc. Prof. Dr. Opass Putcharoen.

This visit was part of the ongoing collaboration under the ANRS 0029s SimpPrEP study,
 “A randomized, non-inferiority trial to compare the efficacy of event-driven pre-exposure prophylaxis for HIV using TAF/FTC versus standard TDF/FTC in men who have sex with men in Thailand and France” (www.simpprep.org)

Both teams discussed research management practices, participant care, and strategies to align clinical research conduct with international standards, with the aim of strengthening collaboration and advancing infectious disease research capacity.
